Three Fall Student-Athletes Land USCAA National All-Academic Honors

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. - The United States College Athletics Association has included three Penn State New Kensington student-athletes on its fall sport National All-Academic Teams. Women's volleyball player Cora Rejniak (Gibsonia, Pa./Deer Lakes) and men's soccer players Alex Conte (Cheswick, Pa./Springdale) and Ryan Stanga (West Deer, Pa./Deer Lakes) were honored with this award by the USCAA as announced last week at the the USCAA fall awards banquet in Virginia Beach, Va.

The USCAA National All-Academic Award recognizes student-athletes that have acheived a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average and have earned at least 24 credits at a USCAA institution.

Rejniak, a junior outside hitter majoring in biobehavioral health, has earned USCAA National All-Academic status for the second time in her career. Conte and Stanga are both sophomore defenders majoring in engineering and are receiving this award for the first time.

Rejniak, Conte, and Stanga join golfer Dan Smith who also earned All-Academic honors earlier this fall.
