Men's Soccer Drops PSUAC Matchup
The Penn State New Kensington Men's Soccer team (6-6, 6-2) fell to Penn College (11-2-1, 8-0) by a score of 6-1 on Thursday afternoon at Valley High School.
The New Ken Lions were able to strike first when Freshman Casey Cavanaugh headed a ball to beat the keeper in the 6th minute. Adam Bombalski was able to pick up an assist on the play. Penn College answered quickly by knotting the game at 1-1 in the 8th minute off of a Tarik Laroche goal. The Wildcats put together six unanswered goals to give the game its final tally.
Freshman Goalie, Jimmy Cook, made some spectacular saves as he faced 13 shots on goal and was able to stop 7 of them.
Penn State New Kensington will be back on the field next Thursday, October 18th as they travel to Point Park for a 7:30 p.m. start. The Lions will round out the regular season on the road against Penn State York on Saturday, October 20th at 1 p.m.
