Penn State New Kensington Soccer Falls at Home to Berkeley-NJ

Penn State New Kensington hosted Berkeley-NJ in non-conference play but came up short in a 6-0 defeat on their home field. The visitors struck early, finding the net in the 10th minute through Hector Castro, and never looked back.

Berkeley added tallies from Gabriel Borges, Steven Urbes (two goals), Kyler Driggs, and Alex Rodrigues to round out the scoring. The Knights generated 20 total shots with 17 on goal, keeping New Kensington's defense under pressure throughout the match.

 Luke Guerrini and Finn Bethurum recorded the only two shots on target for New Kensington. The Lions were forced to play the final stretch down a man after Carson Zadylak was issued a red card. Gavin Rigby also picked up a yellow card in the contest.

Penn State New Kensington will look to regroup as they continue their fall schedule.
